Confessions of a 5 year old Drama Queen

While lying in bed one day were calling for Bubba, Gracie says "Bubba.......Bubba.....(no answer)....Bubba Beatrice!!!! -guess she thinks everyone's middle name is Beatrice

"Look Monkey, this is where Bubba went to school" Dad said. "Oh, well what kind of art projects did they do there" Gracie said. -while driving to Disney on Ice-Princess Classics

"When I grow up, I want to be a parent"

-things that have been coming up since having a baby

"Aww Mom, when he grows up, can we have another baby?"

-she might change her mind on this one in about 2 years

Driving through Pleasanton at Christmas time....."Look at the big bow on that CD ( bow on a wreath)

At dinner time tonight, "We gotta get you a stocking boy" says Daddy to Ryder. "Yeah, we gotta get you a big sock" says Gracie to Ryder

31/2 year old's are WHINNNNNNNNNY!!!! So upon telling my wonderful litte girl that she needs to ask politely and not whine, she replies, "Please can we read one book upstairs, that would be lovely." We are in a Mary Poppins phase and I think it's starting to take hold!!!!!

"Who loves you"? -Daddy "God" -Gracie

Gracie's school has been having different professional come talk to the kids, yesterday a vetrinarian came. We were talking about it and I told her that I really wanted to be a vetrinarian at one point. She responded, oh, but you decided to be a Mommy instead?

Gracie got to go with Daddy on a "side-job" in the dump truck. While it is a very nice truck, it's a bit older and has a crank style window operation. Ryan proceeded to roll down the window and here's what he got;

Gracie - "Dad, what are you doing (making a motion like rolling down the window with the crank)"?

Daddy- "Rolling down the window"

Gracie- "Where's the button"?

Daddy- "No, this is how you roll the window down, that's how we used to do it, before buttons.

Gracie- "Oh, why"?

Daddy- " I don't know sweetheart, that's just how it was"

"Oh, I wish we had some grapes, but their not on season"

-I've been trying to teach her about fruits and veggies and their seasons!

This one's a little hard to explain in writing but craked me up;

So she catches the second half of Dora and toward the end (all you Mommies know this, but I need to explain for the laimen) it shows where she's going and how she got there, so it shows the end place cause' it's near the end of the show and my wide-eyed cookie monster says, with full sincerity,

"See, uhhhhh, I..... (looks at me in disgust) I don't like missing Dora"!!!

"I dont' know why my tummy hurts, I had a turkey sandwich"!

I've been telling her that maybe her tummy hurts around lunch time because all she eats is PB&J!!!

Daddy and I were talking about Heaven last night and I asked him what's there? He said that you can have anything you want, I told him like, if you want fruit snacks, God's got ya covered.

(chuckle)-Gracie

Me- What?

I just remembered, that picture of me and brother kissing looks like we fell in love!!!

Me - (in my head) YUCK!!!

Your a really good Mommy (melted my heart)

Mommy, how come you don't have enough milky for Ryder anymore?

(if anyone knows this kid, you know she doesnt' pause long enough for an answer)

.....imediatly following, " He drank it all?"

Mommy, Ashley has spikes in her teeth. (At first when she said this, I thought she ment Ashley has braces on her teeth. However after examining Ashley myself, come to find out, they really are spikes, they are like spacers or something!) My little genius!!!

After falling - "Mommy, I don't want another boo boo!!!" Poor baby : (

Well, I haven't seen Joshy in a long time..... (Gracie)

Honey, he's been on vacation with his Daddy... (Me)

Oh no, I forgot to pray for him!!!! (Gracie)

Lonestar's "I'm already there" playing on the radio as we get into the car from meeting a friend at the library....Gracie-"Oh, this is a perfect song for what we just did, cause we were there before meeting your friend"!!!This kid is so clever it kills me!!!

Auntie Manda's going to come over to watch you because I have a Dr. apt.

How come your going to the Dr.? ( No pause) Oh because you just had your birthday?, and you had to "re-cancel" ( a funny mix between re-schedule and cancel, I believe) because Grandpa died?

I just cracked up, what else do you do, now the poor girl will think every year around her birthday is when you have to go to the Dr. It was just a coincedence for me!

Auntie Manda got a new wallet and while looking it over Gracie says "Oooh, this is nice, it even has a place for your Auntie Mandy card"

For those of you who don't speak Gracie, that was her driver's license!!
