The Fair

This was our 3rd and final day of tackling the fair. This was the hottest day yet but we had a few more ride tickets pre-purchased that I couldn't let go to waste!!! Here Gracie is on a few rides!

It was soooooo hot this fair day!!! Good thing she brought that hat!!

At first, Ryder didn't know what to expect from this ride.

As the horse moved, he became more an more anxious!

Here's my ol' pro. Cowgirl expert!

Hurry up and take this picture people!

Ok, I kinda like this horsey thing!

"Home, home on the range".......

Okay, now I really like this!!!

My cute cowboys!!!!

Gracie's "real" Birthday!

For Gracie's actual Birthday (June 30) we went down to Gilroy to have a fun day at Gilroy Gardens. It is an adorable vegetable theme park especially designed for little ones. While we had heard about this little gem often, this was our first time and both the kids had a great time!

Cool guy ready to start the day!

Everyone ready to go on the train!

Birthday Girl!

Disregard the kid in the front, no idea who he is, anyway, Ryder went on this little "goldfishy" ride all by himself. At first he was nervous but then when it got going, he loved it, helped that Sissy was behind him so he could look back every so often!

We unfortunately had to "rush" home so we could get to the pool to celebrate Gracie's birthday even more! We just had some family and the neighbors over for a "pool party" I say it like that because it was about 65 degrees. Of course the kids went in the pool but all the adults were huddled in the few minuets left of the warm sun and then bundled up in jackets after!!! Crazy Summer were having!!!

So I usually make a theme cake for the kids for their birthdays, well with Gracie I always have. I was devastated when I found out that Wilton has discontinued their Minnie Mouse pan which coincidentally I could have bought on eBay for like $90 (no thanks) So I decided to be summery instead and make this watermelon cake that turned out pretty cute!

Here were all her gifts and cute Minnie plates!

The Birthday Baby, definitely tuckered out from a long day of fun!

Gracie's 4th Birthday!

Gracie this year got to have a "real" birthday party of her own with her own friends. She has recently been taking Gymnastics and we thought it would be super fun to have it there. We were right! She had a great time playing with some of her old pre-school buddies and seemed like the kids all had a really great time as well. She got way too many fabulous gifts that we of course opened as soon as we got home! She even told me during the party that this was the best birthday of her life!!! Kuddos to me (and the ladies at Edge Gymnastics)

Ryder's 1st Birthday Bash

I know it's super late but I wanted to document these special days. For Ryder's big 1 year old birthday, we had a great time hanging out at the park by our house. We had great food, and great company celebrating little man's 1st birthday!!! Can't believe he's one!!!! You can check out some other fun preping pic's here.

10 on 10 : July

Take a photo once an hour for ten consecutive hours on the 10th of each month. Document a snap shot of your life and find beauty among the ordinary things of your day.
We started our day off right with a family bike ride. Ryan recently got a bike for Father's Day and we love to take a family ride every chance we get! I wanted to get a shot of the kids in there but we got back with only 5min. for me to get ready for work! I snapped my first 10 on 10 shot while running out the door!

A simple pic of what my day usually consists of, especially in the summer time!

This is a shot of my adorable new water bottle and my nice and easy schedule today! Love/Hate my slow Saturday's!

My co-worker Jeanne always goes to the Danville Farmer's Market on Sat. mornings. This morning she got a beautiful hydrangea and I though it looked great here on her station. That's her in the background!

One of my clients Allyson always loves to do "fun" colors in her hair and I thought they looked so pretty in the bowls!!! They also turned out very pretty in her hair too!!!

We had the privilege and honor of attending one of my long time clients turned co-worker/ friend's wedding a couple of weekends ago. She lives up in Washington though so I was so surprised when she was on my schedule to get her hair done because she was in a friends wedding here!! Great seeing you girl! By the way I look really haggard only because she looked fabulous all dolled up for the wedding : D

Home at last. I was attempting to make Gracie girl and I a smoothie the other day and I soon had smoothie all over the kitchen counter. Time to get a new blender!!! Costco had this one on sale this month, so I got it! Yummy smoothie maker (oh and Margarita's too!)

I haven't opened it yet, but I won this from this big sale my beauty supply was having. It's got some great things I just haven't had time to go through it, nor do I have room for any of this stuff, maybe I'll donate it to one of those auction charity thingies!!!!

My absolute favorite time of the year; it's summer time!!!!

4th of July

We had a super fun filled, packed, 4th of July!!!!! This I believe is our 3rd year doing the Danville Parade! We had a nice time and this year finally wised up and left before the shotguns and congested streets!!!

I have such a busy body on my hands, this was the only pic. of the two of them I could get both looking at the camera!!!

My Beautiful All American Sweetheart!

Ryder enjoying the police car sirens!

We then came home and had a nice time swimming at the pool with our neighbors. While it pretty hot, there was a nice breeze that helped to cool everyone down! That wind then got more than nice and turned violent for the fireworks! Oh well!

My sons favorite food lately!!!

Our old neighbors adorable little boy Ryan

Ryder's future girlfriend (whether he likes it or not)!!! Cassidy (neighbor)

We finished off with some great bbq and fixin's!!!!! We then went down to the end of our street to set off safe and sane fireworks!!! We are one of the few bay area cities to still be legal to do so!!!! I didn't get any pictures of this, by then I was exhausted and cold. Ryder really enjoyed them though and Gracie as usual freaked out a bit at first but then she like it!

This was Ryan's anniversary gift that I got him recently. Look close can you see it? It's a triple R brand for the meat!!!

Deciding I need to post more!

Well, I haven't blogged in forever! What the hay? I guess just too much to do. Well, since my last post a lot has happened, I got a new phone, had two wonderful birthday parties for the kids, went to the fair, went to Gilroy Gardens, Ryder is walking!!!!! Uggggg, there is plenty more I'm sure but geesshhhhh!!!! Well, this is so boring but yesterday I got Gracie and I super cute water bottles! I just felt compelled to share!
